I Love You, Grandpa!

Our closest family is eight hours away, so we don't get to see them often, but when we do, we try to make the most of it. Over Thanksgiving, we traveled to Colorado where JJ got to spend time with some of his grandparents, some cousins, and an aunt and uncle.

He enjoyed the time with everyone, but got to spend some quality time with his grandpa and those two really seemed to click (which was evidenced the other day when he stood at the back door repeating, "Grandpa, where are you?" for about five minutes).  So, I wanted to make a little tribute to Grandpa, to let him know how special he is to JJ and how much we appreciate all he has done for him.  I'll let the pictures do the talking.
JJ's first ride in a combine.  I'm not sure I've ever seen him smile so big.
JJ is taking this combine driving pretty seriously.  Every time Grandpa would
try to steer, JJ would push his hands off the steering wheel.
Such a little guy in such a big combine.  This ride may have been the highlight of the trip (once her got over
the fear of the really big combine - slightly bigger than the toy he had been playing with).
Pushing the airplane out of the hanger.  JJ was such a good helper!
JJ loved "flying."
Posing with Grandpa after the ride.  Such a silly boy!
A little quality time behind the wheel.
